STORY LINE:
Donald Downing is unemployed, heartbroken, friendless, and down on his luck. He’s been betrayed, abandoned, and forgotten by his girlfriend Alice and his best friend Adam. After a rough night, he meets a broken down motorists named Mitch. The two become fast friends and go out for a night on the town. A few days later, Detective Haley appears at Don’s doorstep with information involving multiple murders that Don is a suspect in. When his world falls apart, Mitch is at the center of it all, and it’s up to Don to put the pieces back together. He begins to question his friendships and where loyalties truly lie.
CHARACTERS
[ DONALD DOWNING ] The main character (Don for short). Mid to late 20’s male. He is a wimpy, blunt, hot headed, discontent, and generally an unhappy guy. He loves his girlfriend, Alice, but can’t live up to her standards, and doesn’t try to. After meeting Mitch, Don starts coming out of his shell, taking more risks, and slowly becomes more dangerous.
[ MITCH ] Don’s newly found friend. He is mysterious, well informed, witty.
[ ADAM ] Don’s best friend. He is hyper-paranoid, uses drugs to take the edge off, even though drugs are the very reason he is so paranoid.
[ ALICE GREEN ] Don’s girlfriend. She is neat, organized, fit and attractive. She and Don met in college before Don dropped out. She wants to see him achieve, but his lack of future forces her to move on with her life, leaving him behind. She starts a romance with Terry Stiller.
[ TERRY STILLER ] Don’s ex-coworker. Attractive, tall, and skinny. He has a wolfish grin and slicked back hair. He dresses nicely and sees himself as very successful. He is a narcissist and very arrogant. He always tends to backstab and taunt Don.
[ RICHARD “DICK” SPELLING ]
Don’s boss. He’s young, but very successful. He only got to his position because his father is CEO of Americom (American Compensation), the company Don works for. He’s generally mean and unlikable because of how he asserts his authority over everyone. He is very nerdy in the way he talks and tries to be intimidating when he really isn’t.

Don’t Mine Me is a documentary in the making about uranium mining on the Navajo reservation. The health and environmental hazards of uranium mining have been affecting the Navajo population for years. I am trying to raise the funds to go back out west and film this documentary with a crew!
