DAY 3

This was a fun shoot.. even though we were there till 3:00am.
I use to work at the Depot Bar & Grill in Springfield, TN. Doug Voise was so kind to let us shoot there, it turned out to be a lot longer than we planned (surprise, surprise) but the folks at the Depot didn’t mind.

A friend of mine and an aspiring tattoo artist, Haley Crow came out and tatted up our “Bruce”, John Morrell. She did an excellent job. It’s amazing what some ball-point pens can do!

Cheers to the awesome cast and crew who stuck it out all night!

DAY 4

After a little break for the holidays, we got back together to finish what we started. Back at the Depot, we needed one simple outside scene and a pick up shot. Unfortunately it was a very rainy day and we got soaked!

All in all, a short but productive day. Plus, we got to see Philip dancing with an umbrella mimicking “Singing in the Rain”. Pretty awesome.

DAY 5

Back to “Don’s house” (Meredith’s apartment) and then to the Bean Coffee Bistro in Franklin, TN. After hanging out with Michael and the ukulele we had some awesome sandwiches at the Bean and did our coffee shop scene with “Alice” (Brigid O’Connell).

Hats off to the minimal crew we had that night who filled the roles we needed them to on set… including being extras!

DAY 6

I think it’s pretty safe to say that every person on set was fighting the urge to fall asleep all day. Some even gave in… Something about office buildings with that low hum, the weird but assuring smell, the awful lighting, it all just makes you want to close your eyes.

Regardless of the drone on set, we made it through the day finishing off with cheering plastics cups filled with Sprite. Not because we couldn’t afford champagne, just because we prefer the refreshing lemon-lime beverage…

We had so much fun with this movie.
Such great memories with remarkable people.

“Mitch” will be released in June of 2013.
