Lone Star.
Texas is the second largest state in the U.S. in both size and population. Austin is the capitol; however, Houston is the largest city. Texas is nicknamed “The Lone Star State” to signify it as an independent republic. Cat Spring, Texas is the county seat of Austin County, Texas and was named for a nearby spring where a puma was killed by a German immigrant.

Day Eight.
Drove into the small (but bigger than Cat Spring) town of Sealy, Texas today. Had my BBQ fix for a while, made a Wal-Mart run and made several wrong turns. Also, according to a few Texan folk, by profile I look like Leann Rimes. Hm…I beg to differ.
